EXCELLENT Based on 7 reviews Charles Eric2025-05-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From the moment I landed in Tanzania, I truly appreciate the company for all organization they did to me, it's incredible journey they made for me for 10 days tour in Tanzania, my days with Tanzania Songbirds Safaris was far beyond anything I could have imagined. This wasn't just a trip; it was a journey that touched every part of my spirit. Every detailed was thoughtfully arranged and every experience felt personal, real and deeply meaningful. Our Safari guide Mr.Jacob wasn't just a guide-- he was a living encyclopedia, culture and wildlife. His passion was contagious, his eyes sharp to every subtle movement across the savannah. Whether it was tracking a lions distant silhouette or spotting birds in quite corners of the bush, Jacob made the 6 days of Safari in Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire feel like treasure hunt through nature's grandest museum. His knowledge and calm presence gave us a deep sense of both safety, enjoy and feel the nature. After safari we went to a day trip in Kilimanjaro was another level of magic. With the great guiding of Michael and Israel through the landscapes, I felt the weight the weight and wonder of the mountain in a deeply personal way. They we're not just guides, they were kind souls who shared laughter, stories and genuine encouragement as we explored the foothills of Africa's highest peak. It wasn't just a day trip hike, but it was an emotional reset, a breath of something ancient and pure. What I loved most from Tanzania Songbirds Safaris they just didn't show me the places, but the connected me to local people and experience more the culture, that come with real meaning of experience. With Israel again as my guide, I explored the stunning Materuni waterfall, experienced a hands- on coffee tour that brought new appreciation to every sip, visited a masai village where traditional lives strong and proud and next that was our last day in Tanzania, the company organized to us the simple last activity of Arusha walking city tour that we learned much with local experience, history and the food market tour and next we joined a local cuisine cooking class that warmed my heart as much as it did my stomach and lastly we asked Israel to accompany us for souvenirs shopping, we bought amazing staff for our selves and our family back home. Each moment was immersive and honest -- nothing ever felt staged or commerciazed. These weren't tourist stops; they were human experiences shared with open arms and big smiles. Tanzania Songbirds Safaris gave us more than vacation, they gave us a sense of belonging in a country I had never been to before. The professionalism, kindness, and deep rooted authenticity of everyone involved left a permanent mark on me I want to extend my deepest thanks to the entire team, especially Jacob, Israel and Michael. You people made me feel like family, like a friend and a like a traveler who will carry this journey in their heart forever. If you are reading this and wondering if they are right company to trust --don't hesitate. Songbirds doesn't just organize safaris and trek but they craft once-in-a-lifetime experience with soul. Liberatus Erasto2025-05-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Looking back on our time in Tanzania, it feels less like a trip and more like a dream that we somehow got to live—crafted, guided, and brought to life by the incredible team at Tanzania Songbirds Safaris. From the very first message to the last airport farewell, everything was seamless. We didn’t have to think about logistics or timing once; every detail was handled with quiet precision, which let us just be present—to take it all in, together, as newlyweds. Our adventure began with the 7-day Lemosho Route up Kilimanjaro, and honestly, there’s no way to describe that mountain without feeling small in the best possible way. Our guide, Derick, was the anchor we didn’t know we needed—calm, incredibly experienced, and always knowing when to encourage, when to joke, and when to just walk beside us in silence. Our porters, cook, and crew were the true heroes—singing in the morning, carrying everything with a smile, and somehow preparing hot meals at 4,000 meters that felt like celebrations. Reaching the summit wasn’t just a personal achievement—it felt like a shared triumph, built on trust, support, and love. After the mountain, we transitioned into the wild beauty of the northern safari circuit—Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Each park had its own rhythm, its own mood. Elephants roaming through baobab forests, lions lounging in golden grass, cheetahs scanning endless plains, and a quiet moment watching a rhino in the crater mist. Our safari guide was a master—he seemed to read the landscape like a story unfolding, always knowing where to be and when, yet never rushing a moment. We felt deeply connected not just to the wildlife, but to the land itself. And then, just when we thought the magic might slow down, Songbirds surprised us again—with the cultural side of Tanzania. We took a city walking tour through Arusha, learning its stories and meeting its people. We cooked traditional dishes with local women, sharing laughter over bubbling pots and fresh spices. We visited a coffee farm and roasted beans by hand, sipping our efforts as the sun dipped over the hills. And we hiked to Napuru Waterfall, the sound of rushing water and birdsong wrapping us in the kind of peace you only find far from crowds and clocks. Each experience felt thoughtfully chosen, stitched together to give us not just a vacation, but a deep, human connection to this country. Each guide—whether on the mountain, in the bush, or in the kitchen—was passionate, kind, and truly excellent at what they do. We felt cared for, seen, and celebrated in every step of our honeymoon. Tanzania Songbirds Safaris didn’t just plan a trip. They created a journey. One that felt personal, intimate, wild, and beautifully real. We will carry the memories—and the friendships—forever. Excellent in every detail, we are a family of 4 people and booked this great Kilimanjaro trip with Tanzania Songbirds Safaris. I would say it is the best operator in Tanzania. We landed in Tanzania for a bit late due to the schedule changes in Qatar, unforgettable we didn't connect with them to notice that but they didn't give up to wait for us to the airport and we really apologize them but, we surprised how happy the guide who we met at the airport and after meeting us he introduced to us and he Sayed he really enjoyed for us to arrived safety and asked what's happening and that's where we started feeling proud of the company. Our guides (Lameck and Gidion) met us at our hotel in Kilimanjaro for a briefing and to look at us if we carry and have the important staff for Kilimanjaro. On the next day we went to the gate of Lendorosi to start our trip that we waited for a long time, the team Siafu (is the name of our team) all they are great people and so much proud of them, our chef (Martin) and also he is the waiter, is great man who cooked to all of us yam yam food that give all of us the energy on the mountain (Hot food, while on the freezing mountain, unbelievable). The team of 14 porters is great people, they sing to us and make fun mostly, something that I learn from these people Tanzania life is full of peacefulness on each other's it's really Hakuna Matata (No worries while in Tanzania). We are so much happy on the day that we make to the summit. My family and I, will come again and again in Tanzania because of these beautiful people we had our entire time in Kilimanjaro. They also help us to the safari and cultural tourism. Safari with them was absolutely nice and we spent a whole day in cultural experience in Arusha with them. For every tour in Tanzania don't miss this company, they are honest people, and kindness. Jimson Richard2025-05-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did Arusha walking tour as well as 2 days excursion to Lake Eyasi to visit Hadzabe and Datonga tribes. I can fully recommend their services! Shane2025-01-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I completed a walking tour of Arusha with Israel and wanted to share that the tour exceeded my expectations. I wanted to get a good feel for the city as I would be staying for two months. Unlike other city tours which can be brief and lack depth, Israel took the time to explain the history, culture and sights of the city over several hours and many key places in the city. Israel has excellent English and answered any questions that I had and we had a great conversation during the tour. The walking tour provides a fantastic introduction for Arusha and Tanzania and I'd highly recommend for anyone visiting the city. Asante sana Israel!
EXCELLENT Based on 274 reviews Flavin F2025-05-22Verified Seven Days, One Mountain, Endless Memories Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is a dream for many, but achieving that dream with the right people beside you turns it into something unforgettable. From the moment we began our journey with Tanzania Songbirds Safaris, we knew we were in the best hands possible. This wasn't just a trek — it was a shared mission, a story written step by step with the most passionate, skilled, and heartwarming crew I could ever imagine. We were a team of 14 climbers, guided by the incredible Justine and Omary — two men whose knowledge, experience, and love for Kilimanjaro truly made this journey magical. Their leadership and motivation kept us strong, even when the altitude tested us. We felt safe, inspired, and fully supported every single day. Then there was Martin — not just a chef, but a culinary artist at high altitude. The meals he created gave us the strength and comfort we needed. We honestly couldn’t wait for dinner each day, and that says a lot on a mountain! The real heroes, though, were our amazing porters: Denis, Fadhili, Juma, Jose, Paulo, Amani, Ahadi, Ladi, Enock, and Gift. Watching them move with such strength and grace, always with a smile, was humbling. They carried the weight of our expedition — literally and emotionally — and always cheered us on. And Amosi, our wonderful server, brought warmth and joy to every mealtime. He had a way of making every meal feel like home, even at 4,000 meters. The organization by Tanzania Songbirds Safaris was flawless. From airport pickup to the summit and back, everything was handled with professionalism and genuine care. They even helped us with gear — some of which we were able to rent directly through them — and provided fantastic advice for traveling in Tanzania. They thought of everything, including small tips for our wider vacation that made the whole trip smooth and stress-free.Reaching the summit was a powerful moment, but what made it even more meaningful was the love, effort, and camaraderie of this crew who made it all possible. This isn’t just a guiding company — it’s a family, and they make you feel like part of it.If you're dreaming of climbing Kilimanjaro, don't think twice. Trust Tanzania Songbirds Safaris. They don’t just guide you up the mountain — they carry your spirit to the top. You’ll come down changed, and grateful forever for choosing the best team on the mountain. corrinamatthews2025-05-22Verified Wonderful traditional experience This cooking class is a total traditional experience. Don’t expect a kitchen with bench tops and sinks let alone a stove. We cooked in a room with a low table two charcoal burners and a gas burner, a couple of large tubs and basic implements. Having said this Naima was amazing. Very organised and expert cooking skills. The timing of the huge meal we cooked was impeccable and it all came together in the end so well. I would have to say that it was one of the most delicious meals we have had so far in Tanzania.Israel was a wonderful guide in the markets and the food we purchased was so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this class for a truly traditional experience Xavier B2025-05-22Verified Incredible Climbing Kilimanjaro with Tanzania Songbirds Safaris for great 7 days Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives, and it was all made possible by the amazing team at Tanzania Songbirds Safaris. From the very first moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized. The team took care of every detail—from airport pickup to accommodations before and after the climb—making us feel completely at ease so we could focus on the journey ahead. Our guide, Lameck, was truly outstanding. His passion for Kilimanjaro, deep knowledge of the mountain, and genuine kindness set the tone for the entire trek. He was not just a guide, but a motivator, a friend, and a constant source of support. Every day, he checked in with us, explained the plan, and shared insights about the landscape, local culture, and the climb itself. The porters, cook, and assistant guides were equally incredible—cheerful, hardworking, and always ready to help with a smile. The Lemosho Route itself is breathtaking, offering changing landscapes each day, from lush rainforests to moorlands, alpine deserts, and finally the snowy summit. The 7-day itinerary gave us the right amount of time to acclimatize properly, and thanks to the care and pace set by Lameck and the team, we reached Uhuru Peak safely and successfully. Every camp was set up beautifully in advance, and the meals prepared by the cook were beyond our expectations—delicious, hearty, and exactly what we needed to stay energized.Tanzania Songbirds Safaris made our Kilimanjaro dream a reality with their professionalism, attention to detail, and warm hospitality. This wasn't just a tour—it was a life-changing adventure shared with people who truly care. If you’re thinking about climbing Kilimanjaro, we highly recommend doing it with this company. You’ll be in the best hands. Lucecita Lopez2025-05-21Verified Reaching the Roof of Africa with Tanzania Songbirds Safaris Trekking Kilimanjaro had always been a dream, but nothing could have prepared me for the experience of those 7 days on the Lemosho Route. It was challenging, yes—but also utterly transformative. What made it all the more memorable was my guide, Denis, whose quiet strength and calm leadership helped turn the mountain into something conquerable. From the lush rainforest trails at Londorossi Gate to the alpine deserts above Shira Plateau, every day felt like stepping into a different world. The Lemosho route’s slower pace gave our small group time to acclimatize and really take in the surroundings—endless sky, the crunch of volcanic rock underfoot, and the surreal stillness of the high-altitude landscape. But it was summit night that truly defined the journey. We set out under a sky scattered with stars, bundled in layers, breaths short and heavy. The cold seeped into everything. There were moments when I thought about turning back. But Denis kept us moving, checking in quietly but firmly, reading our exhaustion better than we could ourselves. He seemed to know exactly when to push, when to pause, and when to simply say, “You’re stronger than you think.”At Stella Point, as the first light of dawn began to break, I cried. And when we finally stood at Uhuru Peak, the world spread out beneath us, it felt like something far greater than just reaching a summit—it was a return to self, to resilience, to belief.Descending felt like coming down from another planet. And though my legs were shot and my lips cracked from the altitude, I couldn’t stop smiling. Trekking Kilimanjaro via Lemosho was everything I’d hoped for—and more. But it was Denis who turned it into a life experience, not just a mountain. If you ever get the chance, go. And if you can, go with Denis. You’ll understand why the summit is only part of the story. McAdams D2025-05-20Verified Conquering Kilimanjaro with heart and Guidance from David & Arnold. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route was truly the adventure of a lifetime, and I owe so much of that experience to the outstanding team at Tanzania Songbirds Safaris. From day one, our guides David and Arnold made us feel completely at ease with their professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of the mountain. The Lemosho route was stunning — remote and scenic, with each day offering a different landscape, from lush rainforest to alpine desert to the snow-capped summit.David and Arnold were more than just guides — they were motivators, problem-solvers, and friends. They checked our health twice a day, adjusted our pace to keep everyone safe, and never stopped encouraging us. On summit night, when the altitude really hit, it was Arnold’s calm guidance and David’s quiet strength that got us through the final push to Uhuru Peak. I can’t overstate how much their experience and care meant to us. The entire Songbirds team, from porters to cook, worked tirelessly to support us, and somehow always had a hot meal ready and smiles on their faces.I would recommend Tanzania Songbirds Safaris and especially David and Arnold without hesitation for anyone who is looking for the roof of Africa. Louis P2025-05-19Verified A true delicious taste of Tanzania food and best food market experience From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, our day of immersive Tanzanian culture began with warmth and excitement. Our guide, James, greeted us with a welcoming smile and a passion for sharing his heritage. He led us to the bustling heart of Arusha—the Central Food Market. This wasn’t just a walk through a market; James took the time to explain the origins and uses of countless ingredients, from exotic spices to fresh produce, revealing layers of culture behind every aroma and texture. We weren’t just observers—we were participants, tasting, smelling, and learning about the roots of Tanzanian cuisine through the people who grow and sell it.After the market tour, we were taken to a charming outdoor kitchen space, where we met our chef, Name, whose enthusiasm was contagious. The cooking class was hands-on, interactive, and deeply personal. We prepared two traditional Tanzanian dishes—both chosen for their cultural significance and rich flavors. The chef guided us through each step, sharing personal stories and techniques passed down through generations. The scent of simmering spices and freshly chopped herbs filled the air as we cooked, laughed, and learned together.Sitting down to enjoy the meal we had just prepared felt like a true celebration. Each bite was not only delicious but carried the story of the ingredients, the people, and the land. This wasn’t just a cooking class—it was a profound and joyful connection to the heart of Tanzania. It’s a memory we will carry for a lifetime, and we can’t thank James, Name, and the team enough for this incredible experience. When we first planned our trip to Tanzania, we knew we wanted something more than just a regular safari experience. We were looking for the kind of adventure that would stay with us forever, and that’s exactly what we got with Tanzania Songbirds Safaris. From the moment we booked with them, everything felt personal, genuine, and incredibly well-organized. We spent three days exploring the vast beauty of Serengeti and the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, and there’s no doubt in my mind that we made the best choice by choosing this company. Our safari started with a warm welcome from our guide, Derick. It was immediately clear that Derick wasn’t just another guide; he was a passionate expert with a deep love for the land and its wildlife. He took the time to get to know us, asking about our interests and tailoring our safari to give us the best possible experience. As we drove into Serengeti, we were already captivated by the vast, endless plains and the promise of incredible wildlife sightings. Derick’s knowledge of the terrain and animals was astonishing, and he shared fascinating facts with us at every turn. Whether it was a lion relaxing in the shade or a herd of elephants making their way across the savannah, Derick’s expertise made every sighting feel even more special.Serengeti was everything we had dreamed of and more. Over the two days, we got to witness the wonders of the park—from watching cheetahs stalk their prey to marveling at the majestic wildebeest migration.
