Overview
Lake Manyara National Park is a compact yet incredibly diverse park, located between the Great Rift Valley escarpment and Lake Manyara itself. It’s famous for its tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos, and dense groundwater forest filled with baboons, blue monkeys, and elephants. The lake attracts a wealth of birdlife, making it a hotspot for ornithologists. Though small, the park’s varied landscapes—ranging from acacia woodland and wetlands to open plains—support an impressive range of wildlife, making it ideal for a short but rewarding game drive.
