Overview
The tour begins with picking-up from the hotel in Arusha followed by a drive to the incredible Tarangire National parkas our first stop, very famous for elephant groups, followed by Lake Manyara national park famous for the paradise of birds, tree-climbing lions, followed by the top-ranked African park “Serengeti” sandwiched in between the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro conservation area with its incomparable crater as our final destination. The successful 8-days safari in Northern Tanzania provides an excellent introduction and insight into our country’s incredible landscapes and wildlife by staying in midrange lodges and tented camps.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Arusha, heading to Tarangire National Park, famous for its vast herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. Spend the day exploring the park’s diverse landscapes, from open savannahs to seasonal swamps, which support an array of wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, and impalas. Keep an eye out for the unique birdlife that thrives here, including colorful lovebirds and kori bustards. After an exhilarating game drive, retire to your comfortable mid-range lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to the picturesque Lake Manyara National Park, known for its lush groundwater forest, alkaline soda lake, and famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive through the park, where you might encounter elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and a variety of primates, such as baboons and vervet monkeys. The lake itself is a haven for flamingos and other waterbirds, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. After a fulfilling day, return to your accommodation near the park for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)
Today, you journey to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, a highlight of any safari in Tanzania. Arrive in time for a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive in the central Serengeti, also known as Seronera, an area teeming with wildlife. This region is famous for its year-round resident animals, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and large herds of buffalo, gazelles, and wildebeests. As the sun sets, settle into your mid-range lodge or tented camp for a cozy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (Full-Day Game Drive)
Immerse yourself in the vastness of the Serengeti as you embark on a full-day game drive. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes move in search of greener pastures. Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Optional Balloon Safari)
Another day in the Serengeti allows you to further explore its incredible biodiversity. For an unforgettable experience, you can opt for an early morning hot air balloon safari (at an additional cost) to take in the sweeping views of the plains and wildlife below, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. Spend the rest of the day on game drives, focusing on different areas of the park to uncover more of its secrets. Return to your accommodation for dinner and a well-earned rest.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (Northern Serengeti or Grumeti)
Continue your Serengeti exploration by heading to a new region, such as the northern Serengeti or the Grumeti area, depending on the season. These areas are less crowded and offer unique sightings of wildlife, including river crossings during the migration season or interactions between predators and prey. Savor the tranquility of the wilderness and the captivating sights and sounds of nature. Enjoy your final night in the Serengeti under the starlit African sky.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park (Final Game Drives in serengeti)
On your last day in the Serengeti, enjoy a relaxed morning game drive, taking in the final glimpses of this iconic park. Arrive at your accommodation near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in time for a hearty dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater
Conclude your safari with a visit to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Descend into the crater floor for a game drive, where you may encounter the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo), as well as hippos, flamingos, and hyenas. The dramatic scenery, coupled with incredible wildlife encounters, makes this a fitting finale to your safari. After a picnic lunch in the crater, ascend and return to Arusha, where your unforgettable journey comes to an end.
