A private transfer will whisk you away to the charming Outpost Lodge in Arusha, a serene haven that serves as the perfect launchpad for your safari. Depending on your arrival time and energy levels, we offer an optional, complimentary short tour of Arusha town—perhaps a visit to a local coffee plantation or a cultural heritage center—to stretch your legs and ease into the Tanzanian rhythm.

 Accommodation for the night is at the lovely Outpost Lodge (Mid-range Lodge), known for its tranquility and excellent service. Your inclusive experience begins with a delicious Dinner at the lodge, featuring fresh, local and international cuisine.

After a sumptuous Breakfast at Outpost Lodge, we embark on our first leg of the journey to Tarangire National Park. The drive from Arusha to Tarangire is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, traversing the scenic Maasai steppe. Upon arrival, we immediately descend into a thrilling full-day game drive in a park famous for its enormous herds of elephants and towering baobab trees. Your private picnic Lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic viewpoint within the park, allowing you to take in the stunning wilderness surroundings while enjoying your delicious meal. We will spend the entire afternoon tracking lions, leopards, and diverse antelope, culminating in a beautiful sunset drive before heading to your accommodation.

Accommodation for the night is at the wonderful Eileen’s Trees Inn (Mid-range Lodge) located near Karatu. Your day concludes with an exquisite Dinner (B, L, D) at the Inn.

A hearty Breakfast starts your day before we embark on the drive to the iconic Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views before you descend onto the vast plains. The driving time from Karatu (near Eileen’s Trees Inn) to the central Seronera area of the Serengeti (where Kontiki Camp is located) is approximately 4 to 5 hours. This journey is an adventure in itself, as the later part constitutes a ‘game drive en route,’ with opportunities to spot wildlife before reaching your destination. We will arrive in time for a delectable hot Lunch at the luxurious camp. The afternoon is dedicated to your first thrilling game drive in the Serengeti, the heart of wild Africa.

Accommodation for the next two nights is at the superb Kontiki Serengeti Camp (Tented Camp/Mid-Range Luxury), where a magnificent Dinner (B, L, D) will be served under the starlit African sky.

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and enjoy a full day dedicated to exploring the unparalleled wildlife spectacle of the Serengeti. After an early Breakfast, you will head out for the iconic morning game drive—the best time to witness predators in action. Your private picnic Lunch will be strategically set up at a designated picnic site, allowing maximum time in the field to observe the spectacular wildlife, including the ‘Big Five,’ cheetahs, and the endless herds that traverse these plains. The afternoon offers a final exhilarating game drive, allowing you to track new wildlife movements and capture the essence of this world-renowned park.

The evening brings you back to the comfort of Kontiki Serengeti Camp for a splendid Dinner (B, L, D) and time to share stories of the day’s incredible sightings.

Following an early Breakfast, we begin our journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today is a highlight as we descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The drive from Central Serengeti to the descent point takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. Once inside the caldera, you will spend the better part of the day on an intensive game drive in this natural wonder, home to one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa, including the rare Black Rhino. Your expertly prepared private picnic Lunch will be served on the Crater floor near a hippo pool, offering a unique dining experience. In the mid-afternoon, we ascend the crater walls and drive to the nearby Karatu area.

Accommodation for the final night will be back at the comfortable Eileen’s Trees Inn (Mid-range Lodge), where a farewell Dinner (B, L, D) celebrating your safari success awaits.

Enjoy a final relaxing Breakfast at Eileen’s Trees Inn. The day includes a captivating morning game drive in the scenic Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions (a rare sight) and spectacular birdlife, including thousands of flamingos (seasonal). We will spend approximately 3 to 4 hours exploring this diverse park. This park is the perfect final brushstroke on your canvas of Tanzanian wildlife. We will then drive back towards Arusha. Lunch (B, L) on this final day will be an exceptionally tasty, hot meal arranged at a high-quality restaurant outside the park gates. Following this, your private guide will provide a seamless drop-off either at your chosen location in Arusha or directly at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to meet your outbound flight, concluding your unforgettable “Great Birdsong” Safari with Tanzania Songbirds Safaris.
